Quilt Block Mania-Halloween

Welcome to the Quilt Block Mania HALLOWEEN edition.  I know, really, already?  But as school starts and the weather has turned cooler this week, it is not seeming quite so far off.

What is Quilt Block Mania?  It’s a fun blog hop of quilt blocks centered around a theme and a color scheme.  Each month a new theme and color scheme with a free quilt block from each of the participating quilt designers.  All blocks finish at 12″ square so you can mix and match them to make the quilt of your choice.

Being mostly a bag/silicone/small project pattern designer, I haven’t done much with Halloween so I jumped at the chance to do something with this fun theme and colors. The colors are deliciously . . . Halloweenish — wink — surprising, eh? 

 

I named this block “Frankie” since he’s more cute than scary. It’s a combination of easy piecing and applique. In other words, a super fast and fun sew!
