This last week I have been working on pattern testing for new patterns I will be releasing this month – so exciting! So, mostly I have been sewing my new designs which I will show on the blog later this month. I have a new bag pattern and a basket pattern. Stay tuned for more on that!
I have made some progress on the diaper bag for my cousin. As you can see, I have the exterior done. It has been awhile since I have sewn something without a plan to turn it into a pattern, ha! This one is for fun and I am designing it as I go. There’s a zipped pocket on the back side, elasticized pockets on the sides and a big pocket on the front as you can see in the pic. There are even more pockets on the inside so it’s a good thing I have until the end of May before her baby is due!
Another project I have been working on is designing cut-out designs with my silhouette cameo. Here is one design I made. I think this will fit nicely onto a tote bag. Or maybe a pillow? What do you think?
I cut the light violet fabric out with the cutter using my design, then all the little pieces left on the cutting mat made the second design. Yes, I had to move them over there one by one!
Hope you are a sewing a fun project or playing with fabric this week. Thanks for stopping by!

I really like the purple dahlia design – very pretty!

Those dahlias – wow! Makes me want a laser cutter as I’m pretty sure there’s NO way I could be that accurate 🙂

Very fresh and appealing fabric choices for both! I bet your cousin will love the tote.
