I hope this blog post is full of “aw, cute” moments for you. I have two new patterns for babies designed with gifting in mind.
Ellie and George includes two lovey designs just the right size for baby to hold and explore. Ellie the Elephant can be made with flannel or minky, with optional crinkle material in the ear. George the Giraffe can be made with flannel (or I suppose cute quilting fabric would work as well too!).
The rings are removable for washing, and the rings can go right into the top shelf of the dishwasher. Fully tested to be baby-safe and exceed FDA standards (no BPA and heavy metals here), you can be sure these are a winner!

The other new baby pattern is Myrtle & Leo. The loveys in this pattern are raw-edge appliqued onto a flat square and then finished off with a cute scalloped edge. The loveys can be made with the included quilt pattern as a matched set. Finishing these off with minky on the back makes them extra snuggly!
So, let’s look at some variations on this theme from my awesome testers! They got creative with these and you’ll see some additional ideas to consider when making these baby patterns! A couple of them even finished the baby quilt, which I didn’t imagine would happen. So, wow!
