Speakeasy blog hop fun!

When you think of a speakeasy, you might conjure up an image of a hidden room, accessible by password, in the basement in corner of a large city, with dark rich tones and whispered conversation below ground. Well, at least that’s what comes to mind for me!

This Speakeasy happens to be a fabric collection, and I think you’re going to love it!

The Speakeasy collection was designed by Tammy Silvers of Tamarini’s for Island Batik. You can get a sense of the richness of the colors in the thumbnails below:

I sewed up an Izzie Convertible Backpack using the Speakeasy batiks, and you can see how much depth the colors have.

The Izzie Convertible Backpack can be worn as either a backpack or a cross-body bag with a split-second adjustment of the strap. Inside is a large zip pocket and an abundance of slip pockets. If you want to read more about the bag, check out this post here.
