Hi all,
I’m back from market and getting back into things. One of those to-do items is to finish up my Silhouette Cameo pattern I launched at spring quilt market in Pittsburgh last week. The Cameo is getting more interest in the fabric world and it is really exciting what you can do with it with fabric. And, oh so much fun!
First up is to dig through the stash for some fabric. I love combining a tone-on-tone with a contrasting solid. Although I do think the Kaffe Fasset prints are fun in the pillow below… What fabric combinations do you think would work well?
Believe it or not, placing these pieces is a snap. And, you can applique each piece or do all-over quilting, like vertical stitches to hold the pieces in place!
This is one of those projects that looks like it would be really hard to do, but it isn’t with the Silhouette.
And the pillow below is even easier. But what gets me more excited is the fact that it is new and fun. I love playing with high contrast fabrics with the negative and positive space. I can’t imagine trying to do this by cutting with scissors. It is fun with the Silhouette and I can see all kinds of new possibilities for designing with fabric.
I hope you have some time to play with fabric or try something new!
Linking up with Lee for WIP Wednesdays at Freshly Pieced.

Would love to make those! I have the cameo, but have no idea where to begin! Very intimated by it. Your pillows are amazing!

Hi Kathi, I’m glad you like it! I will be releasing a pattern to make the pillows by mid-June. It is much easier than it looks! Thanks so much, Lisa
