Hi sewing friends! It’s time for another Quilt Block Mania. This month’s theme is quilting and there was just one choice for me! I love playing with bobbin images and this color-blocked bobbin was super fun to create.
This block is an easy sew with a simple 4-patch and appliqued bobbin quarters.
Color blocking can be kind of addicting and I found myself creating a lot of different color combinations. Here are a few:
I finished the bobbin quarters using raw edge applique. My go-to stitch is a simple straight edge stitch, which I do with my applique foot. A blanket stitch, zigzag stitch or one of those fancy stitches on your sewing machine (it’s a great way to try one out) would also work great.
Hop over to the shop and get your free COLOR ME BOBBIN block. It’s free for the next month or so.
Don’t forget to see all the other quilting themed blocks from the other wonderful quilt designers. Do the hop and give ’em some loving!
