What do you call a tote that features two fabrics in a unique way on the exterior of the bag? Hint…hint…like partners in a fabric dance. . . . The Tango Tote!
The Tango Tote is large and holds a ton of stuff. The finished bag is 12″ H x 18″ W (top) x 7″ D. It’s great for car trips, and can be dressed up or down depending on the fabric choices.
There’s a slip pocket on the exterior back. Inside are multiple slip pockets and combo slip pocket – zip pocket that is easy to sew and a good addition to your bag-making skills. There’s also a key leash so keys can be easily located.
Here’s a look at another Tango Tote. Keeping with that echinacea theme (I can’t get enough of these flowers!).
A big THANK YOU to the testers on this project for all your hard work and helpful feedback. Let’s look at some of their Tango Totes.
Here’s Cara’s tote. Love her use of the large print and waxed canvas combination!
It’s fun to see the variety in the bags. Brinkley’s whimsical llama tote is adorable!
Daryl’s choice of fabrics on her tote is so awesome! That cactus fabric is so cool. I forgot to mention earlier too that the top zipper is slightly recessed and very easy to install!
Jan’s bag is so stylish – and that interior fabric is very cool!
I really like how Melissa’s colors coordinate – really beautiful bag! You can see the roomy interior on the picture bottom right.
Pat’s lovely bag shows how it also works with two prints, not just a solid/basic with a print.
Tamra sewed up two Tango Totes and I love them both. Look at those gorgeous large prints!
Joyce’s bag shows off those large flowers so well. Wonderful combination of fabrics!
I hope you’ve enjoyed seeing the wide variety of fabrics on these bags and you caught a little inspiration for your own Tango Tote.
