I’d like to introduce you to the latest sewable silicone project, the Hot Stuff Extra Large Trivet!
Sometimes you just need a bigger trivet, especially if you are serving a large platter, larger casserole dish or 9 x 13 inch pan—or if you are making cookies on hot cookie sheets. These trivets look especially nice in the center of your table. Like the other silicone products I’ve released over the last few years, this silicone is heat resistant up to 450 degrees plus the quilted layer under the silicone. This makes for really great protection against the heat. The silicone overlay is 9 x 12 inches and the finished trivet is 11 x 14 inches.
You choose the fabrics and make it your own. Whip one up in the evening to give the next day as a gift! Combine them with one of the other Hot Stuff projects for a coordinated set (such as the Hot Stuff Oven Mitt).
If you want to make another one, you can buy just the refill, which includes one silicone trivet overlay.
Now through Sunday, you can get 30 percent off the Hot Stuff Trivet – Extra Large as well as the refill by using the coupon code NEW30.
So, let’s look at some more trivets from the amazing ladies who tested it! I’m including pictures of both sides of many of the trivets to share ideas for quilting it as well.
This cheerful trivet was made by Jessica. Lovely! She chose to finish hers by binding it. On the other side she featured a fun Hawaii-themed print. What a great way to feature a fun print like this.
Next up is Mary Jo’s trivet. She pieced a block to go under the silicone. Isn’t it amazing? I love the colors she chose for her trivet and the star block looks really awesome. I think I need one of these!
Next up is Jenniffer’s trivet. A perfect choice to bring a little spring inside!
The print Daryl chose for her trivet really shows off the design on the trivet. Love that. Check out her fun quilting on the other side!
Melissa finished her trivet by turning it right side out as well. Great job Melissa. If you look closely, you can see the fun quilting she did on the other side.
Take a look at Joyce’s flowered trivet. Very pretty. I especially like the color contrast with the white background and the flowers, just enough to make the design on the silicone show up. Pretty!
Here’s another one I made with a flowered print. I also finished this one by turning it right side out (the non-binding method).
That’s it for now. I hope you enjoyed seeing the variety. If you’d like to take advantage of the sale, use the coupon code NEW30 to get 30 percent off both the Hot Stuff Trivet – Extra Large kit as well as the refill, now through Sunday, May 31st (CDT 11:59 p.m.).
