I am so glad you stopped in for a visit!
What draws you to sewing? I have had a life-long addiction to creating things. When I was little it was hand-made card making and cross-stitch. I started sewing more once I got older and had my own house. It was fun to go pick out fabric to make drapes for every room in the house. Then we moved and I did it all over again. And, yes, for a few other people too! When I’d walk into a fabric store and see all the beautiful fabric choices, I would soon be walking out the door with a purchase in hand.
Then, there was the fun sewing kid’s clothes. Then, a friend invited me to a quilting retreat. I said, what? That’s a story for another day. . . cutting all those pieces by hand, not knowing about the beauty of a rotary cutter. Yes, I re-cut every piece once I got to the quilting retreat, ha!
Lately, I am solidly into bag making and home décor items. I just love sewing these and can’t wait for my next sewing fix (hopefully tonight!).
This blog is about exploring creativity and sharing sewing ideas. Celebrating those OMG sewing moments and sharing sewing lessons when the seam-ripper is king. So, please, come and visit and comment and share. I’d love to connect with you.
Oh, about me? I live in perfect climate for a sewing addiction. The winters in cold/beautiful/lake-filled Minnesota are ideal for sewing. I have a wonderful hubby and 3 kids who love folding patterns in front of the TV ( ha ha!). I work part-time and sneak my Around the Bobbin pattern business in-between, so life can get a little hectic around here. But, it’s all good!
So, go ahead, cut up that fabric and try something new and enjoy!
Happy Sewing!
