Totes, totes, and more totes!
Today I’d like to share with you the Simply Charming Twister Tote! This tote is a quilted tote made with the Lil’ Twister tool. It is Tote #12 in my 21 Totes Project this year– I am now over halfway there, yay!
The Simply Charming Twister Tote is also available as a pattern, which is now available in the Around the Bobbin retail shop (downloadable pdf or paper pattern) or visit your local quilt shop!
What is this pattern all about?
To make this tote, first you sew together 5″ charm squares and a border around the outside. Then you use the Lil’ Twister Tool to cut it apart again. By using this tool, you only sew together squares to get a beautiful pinwheel pattern. Then you use the panel to make a tote. The detailed instructions with all the diagrams are in the pattern.
The interior is roomy and full of pockets:
At Quilt Market, I had a drawing in my booth. The winning quilt shop could send me fabric and I sew together a sample for their shop–and they get 6 free patterns. Gathering Friends Quilt shop of Bird Island, Minnesota, won the drawing and I shipped off their custom sample today. They chose to have it sewn in the Reel Time fabric collection from Zen Chic (Moda). Love the way these fabrics play together on the bag.
I asked a couple of my fabulous testers to test this bag out and they really just outdid themselves with their gorgeous twister totes:
Brinkley used beautiful Tula Pink charm squares on her tote. It is a-mazing!
Jenniffer combined some gorgeous bold prints on her tote, and added orange piping to really set it off. That girl really knows how to sew and makes such beautiful things!
And, oh my gosh, Peggy’s bag is so incredible. She used a charm pack of Kaffe prints and mixed them up a bit at the end and they look just perfect on her bag. LOVE IT!
Aren’t they amazing! They did such wonderful work and they look fabulous!
So, that’s Tote #12. The Simply Charming Twister Tote pattern is actually available NOW, in both paper and downloadable PDF formats. Go check it out.
Thanks for stopping by.
Until next time. . . .
