Hi,
I have a new bag pattern to share with you, the Cappuccino Bag II. One of my first bag patterns was the Cappuccino Bag, a cross-body bag with a front flap and a funky bottom construction method that is fun and easy to do. This bag shares some of the same basic features, although this bag is shorter and a little wider, has two new flap shapes, an additional front cell phone pocket and an updated bottom construction method technique. By the time I got done, it is really a new bag. I’m really proud to share it with you!
The bag can be made with a short flap or a longer flap–this is the short flap:
This close-up gives you an idea of what the bottom gusset looks like. My testers really liked the way this bottom attached to the front and back.
You can also make the bag with a longer flap:
Here’s a peek at the inside–it has two pockets inside and it’s quite spacious:
Here are some of the awesome tester bags:
I love the way Cara featured this pretty flap fabric, and the overall look is just beautiful!
She shared a picture of the inside where you can see how much room there is.
Daryl made two lovely bags in our testing group, and I really like them both. She featured a pretty flowered print in the first one, and then she custom sewed an amazing flap on the second bag with a variety of decorative stitches. You can check out more of Daryl’s creative work at Patchouli Moon Studio.
Jenniffer made hers out of faux suede and added a front clasp. I have to confess that I want this bag–I just love what she did with it!
Laura featured a fun modern woodland fabric on the flap that blends perfectly with fabric she chose for the body of the bag. Terrific job!
Melissa’s coordinating prints look fabulous together.
Ramona’s bag featured the Patriots, just in time for the Super Bowl. The front flap is great for featuring a favorite print like this, and she did a wonderful job with it.
This bag works well with vinyl, cork and decorator fabrics, and other materials. Check out Sam’s awesome pleather bag:
Jessi sewed her bag with a vintage lightweight coated broadcloth like cotton. Such pretty delicate flowers!
This gorgeous batik that Tammy chose makes a great choice for the flap:
